HW X-Ray Inspection

The HW X-ray inspection system is an industrial X-ray intelligent inspection machine from China SMT machine manufacturer HWGC, used to see inside solder joints that optical inspection cannot reach. A closed-type tube runs at 90 kV with a 5 μm focal spot, feeding a high-definition flat panel detector with a 768 x 768 pixel matrix, 85 μm pixels and 40 fps readout, delivering up to 600X system magnification across a 65 x 65 mm effective inspection area. It accepts objects up to 520 x 420 mm, measures BGA and QFN voids automatically, and keeps radiation leakage below 1 μSv/h, making it a practical quality gate for PCB assembly.

SMT Industry News

AI server boards and other high-end computing PCBs are driving strong demand for SMT capacity and high-precision placement equipment, and those boards carry large BGA, QFN and power packages whose hidden solder voids directly affect thermal and electrical performance. Optical inspection cannot see under a package, so X-ray inspection has become the practical way to verify void percentage, alignment and solder coverage before a board ships. The HW system supports that role with automatic void measurement and report output that feeds PCB assembly quality control records. Smart factory integration is also spreading across SMT lines, and the system's CNC programming, inspection data and Windows-based reporting let engineers connect defect findings with the process data used in Industry 4.0 projects.

Applications

The HW X-ray inspection system fits at the inspection station of any SMT production line, checking BGA, QFN, CSP, LED and through-hole solder joints after reflow, and it also serves failure analysis and incoming inspection labs. Typical users include PCB assembly plants, EMS providers, semiconductor packaging houses, automotive electronics and power module manufacturers where hidden voids or bridging must be measured, not guessed. As an X-ray inspection machine with automatic void analysis and report export, it helps factories raise first-pass yield and document quality for customers, supported by a China SMT machine manufacturer.
