The Choice Of The Placement Machine Programming Rule System

Many electronics manufacturers have not yet realized that flash, CPLD and FPGA devices still require programming algorithms. Every component is different, and programming rules cannot be exchanged between different semiconductor suppliers. Therefore, if they are going to use ATE programming, test engineers must write down a system of programming rules for each component and all alternative suppliers (existing and developing).

Using an incorrect rule system will result in failure during programming or during board testing, and when the user owns the product (worst of all). The hardest thing to deal with is that semiconductor suppliers are constantly changing programming rules in order to increase yield, increase data retention, and reduce manufacturing costs. So even if the system of programming rules written today is correct, there is a good chance that the rules will change soon. In addition, neither the ATE supplier nor the semiconductor supplier will contact the user in time when the rule system changes.
